Hey, Calgary! Here are some of our community’s current volunteer needs as gathered by YYCHelps.ca as of 6:45pm.

Before you volunteer, please ensure you have read over the Flood Awareness Booklet from the City of Calgary. Pay close attention to pages 14-21.

Request For Volunteers: 60 Volunteers Required ASAP in Inglewood

8+ homes needing assistance emptying basements entirely so power can be restored! Please bring work boots and gloves. Need mops, garbage bags, storage bins, wet vacs, generators, head lamps, flash lights, dumpsters, demo crews, crow bars, sledge hammers. More details

Request for volunteers – 20 Volunteer Project Coordinators

YYCHelps needs your help! We are in need of 20 individuals that can help us coordinate volunteers after we’ve sourced contacts from our database of growing Calgarians looking to help! More details

Request for volunteers – 100 Volunteers needed at Bow Crescent NW

100 volunteers required for Bow Crescent NW Cleanup to clean and empty homes. Please bring rubber boots, rubber gloves and protective eyewear. Volunteers are required to help clean and empty homes at Bow Crescent NW. If you have any pumps or generators, those will be required as well. More details

Request for volunteers – Roxboro

Couple requires help removing furniture and belongings from a basement. Family is out of town. Bring rubber glovers. Basement has been pumped and now just needs to be emptied onto the front lawn. More details
